Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, David Beckham and Jessica Biel are chosen to honor four teenagers for their epic contribution and commitment to society at the Third Annual TeenNick HALO Awards.
TeenNick HALO Awards is a TV special created and hosted by TeenNick’s chairman, Nick Cannon. It features four ordinary teens who are Helping And Leading Others (HALO). The chosen celebrities will pay tribute to this year’s HALO recipients James O’Dwyer, Emily-Anne Rigal, Shanoah Washington, and Kyle Weiss.
Sharing the same passion in helping and leading others, Taylor Swift is paired to James O’Dwyer, 19, who started the Magnolia Disaster Relief, an aid program that aims to offer relief to rural areas hit by tornadoes. Lady Gaga is paired to Emily-Anne Rigal, 17, who created an anti-bullying website. Jessica Biel will honor the works of Shanoah Washington, 18, for founding a mentor program called Sista2Sista which aims to motivate young girls through the development of self-esteem, honesty, self-discipline and positive thinking. David Beckham is paired to Kyle Weiss, 18, who founded FUNDaFIELD, an organization that fundraises to build soccer fields for children in Africa.
The 2011 TeenNick HALO Awards airs Sunday, November 6, 8PM ET/PT on TeenNick.
